As we continue to highlight the people behind all of the awesome craft design coming out of OPA Design Studio, we recently sat down with Nicholas (Nick) Meszaros, one of The Brewery Architect’s talented project designers, who has been busy working on some of our newest brewery, distillery, and commercial architectural design projects.
Nick started with OPA in 2021 and has been a valuable member of our design team in that time. We hope to see him continue to shine and grow with our team, lending us and our clients his passion for great design and stand-out strengths in sketching and design visualization.
In his over 2 years with OPA, Nick has been recognized for his ability and passion for design visualization and interest in integrating cutting-edge tools into our design processes.
1) In 3 sentences or fewer, what does your daily life at OPA look like (bonus points for haikus)?
A typical day starts by getting up to date with new information, coordinating with my project managers on tasks and schedules, and then accomplishing goals working towards deadlines.
2) What is the best thing about being in the architecture profession today?
Learning architecture history is very fulfilling, and staying up to date with new innovations keeps the profession fresh.
3) What do you like most about how our team has continued to develop in the time that you've been with us?
Love that our team is forward thinking and always open to incorporating new ideas and processes.
4) What do you consider your greatest architectural accomplishment so far?
I was on a team that designed a building to house flight simulators for the air force. That project stands out to me due to the significant function it has within the armed forces.
5) What motivates you?
Learning about my profession and being proficient in my field.
